Loeries drives creativity for Internet advertising

Special media offer for marketers and agencies who want to enter new internet advertising campaigns into the 2010 Loerie Aweards

22 April 2010: If you have a brilliant new Internet advert or campaign that you'd like to showcase online and enter into The Loerie Awards then this is for you. Marketers and agencies looking to launch new online campaigns before the Loeries entry deadline on 14 June, can apply to The SpaceStation and receive up to R15 000 worth of media to flight these campaigns across The SpaceStation's network of sites. All work must be entered into the Loeries Internet Advertising category and stands an additional chance of winning the SpaceStation prize of a Sony 32" Bravia plus an Xbox 360 console with Final Fantasy XIII and LIPS Karaoke, as well as free media on the SpaceStation network.

"When it comes to display-based ads, The SpaceStation has seen some excellent creative work running across our network over the past year," says Mike Luscombe, CEO of The SpaceStation. "By sponsoring and awarding a special prize for the Internet Advertising category, and by offering free media to agencies who want to create and enter brand new display-based adverts into The 2010 Loerie Awards, The SpaceStation is looking to further grow the number of agencies engaging with and developing leading-edge creative work for the online space."

The never-run-before ads can be created by advertisers for an existing client or may be developed for one of the brands within The SpaceStation network.  Campaigns will receive media space up to the value of R15 000 and the work will enjoy anything up to a month of free online advertising.

To take advantage of this unique offer, agencies must first create an entry within the Internet Advertising category on the Loerie's website and then submit their entry label together with their material to The SpaceStation.  Full details are available via the Loeries website.

"The aim of the Loeries is not only to recognise creativity but also to encourage innovation. Part of that process is to get agencies and marketers to do things differently," says Andrew Human, CEO of The Loerie Awards. "The SpaceStation initiative is an excellent vehicle for marketers to enter the space of Internet advertising and we look forward to seeing some great new work."

The entry deadline for the 2010 Loeries is 14 June 2010. For more information on Internet Advertising and all other categories, visit www.theloerieawards.co.za.
