Account Manager

Main Purpose of the Job            

Online advertising (web, mobile, e-mail) sales; Responsible and accountable for managing the relationship, advertising activities and revenue inflow from advertising clients and advertising agencies across The SpaceStation’s portfolio of web & mobile sites.

Job Outputs     

  • Actively manage the commercial relationship between The SpaceStation and the client accounts within your portfolio
  • Maximize revenue inflow from these client accounts
  • Attain monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets related to your client account portfolio
  • Actively identify and pursue new advertising client accounts
  • Maximize revenue inflows across all the web sites within the The SpaceStation portfolio from your client account portfolio
  • Conceptualize, verbalize, document, test, propose and present new online revenue generating opportunities in consultation with Channel Sales Managers & AdOps, to clients within your client account portfolio
  • Use web analytics tools to analyse site traffic and user demographics in support of online campaign proposals and client presentations
  • Sourcing of images, art work or final material from advertisers

  • The ability to create and maintain good relationships with client accounts
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Must be confident with the ability to self-manage activities, yet able to work very closely with a team
  • Able to identify and realize revenue opportunities related to online advertising
  • Attention to detail

  • Must be able to balance a creative and business approach
  • Must be passionate about online advertising and marketing

Qualifications and Experience  

  • At least 2 year’s advertising sales experience (online experience will be advantageous)
  • An established base of advertising clients and accounts (direct and/or agency) will be advantageous
  • Fully computer literate (Microsoft end-user)
  • Knowledge of Web Analytic tools advantageous
  • An advertising / marketing or related qualification will be advantageous
