Business Insider is now in South Africa, and we think that is pretty awesome

Business Insider is now in South Africa

Business Insider is a truly global phenomenon. It is headquartered in New York and owned by a German company. Its 140 million readers access it by way of local editions in 14 countries spread across every timezone, and in more languages than South Africa officially has.

Today that publication comes to South Africa.

BI has grown into the largest business news operation in the world because it does things differently, even by the standards of local partner Media24, which operates by far the largest South African news network. BI is fast but also fun. It is informative but also entertaining. It has no regard for convention, but values accuracy above all.

And, in the best tradition of the web, BI is always evolving, which is why we can tell you only roughly what to expect from Business Insider South Africa. We’ll help you find out what you need to know. We’ll show you how South African business is changing. We’ll help you keep track of corporate fashion (and not only in the figurative sense). We’ll grab every opportunity to explore new tech, new ideas, and new solutions to problems old and new.

What we’re doing right now is exploring Cyril Ramaphosa’s new mansion, the best new office buildings in South Africa, and why getting up at 5AM can be a good idea.
